Radio Ad – Pep Talk

Joe is processing his frustration with the conflicts between faith in God and the demands of life. He has several half-finished thoughts. Melissa listens and helps him work it out.

Joe: (serious)

I need a pep talk, Melissa.

Melissa: Pep talk?

Joe: Sometimes “trusting God” just…

(he sighs and trails off)

Melissa: What?

Joe: If we opened seven days a week like everyone else, instead of six…

Melissa: Then?

Joe: (resigned)

Then we’d be like… everyone else.

Melissa: (sincere, not sarcastic)

Do you want that, Joe?

Joe: (Joe sighs)

I wanna run my business, take care of my people. Maybe relax.

(laughs)

Why’s it so hard?

Melissa: I don’t know, Dear Husband.

But I do know we’re in it together.
